This is our traditional first day of school pose...nose picking.
Sophie is off to a fast start in second grade. She missed her friends over the summer and was anxious to get back to North Star Academy. She loves her new teacher, Ms. Ryan.

It makes me so emotional to see how grown up Soph is! First off it's unbelievable that she's already in 2nd grade, even more so she looks like she is in 5th grade!...The last time I talked to Soph on the phone I called her "Sophie Bubbles". Her reply, "ahh yeah, hi Brookie", as if something is seriously wrong with me. I immediately realized that she's outgrown that nick name. I'm simply not ready to move on. I don't care how old they get, they are always going to be Sophie Bubbles and Jackie B.
It is good to see she sticks with tradition.
